REED is the Renewable Energy Enterprise Developers. Our organization aims at addressing gaps in the agricultural and renewable energy value chains in order to create sustainable green jobs, profitable agribusinesses, inclusive policy, and well-developed market systems.
REED conducts research, training, consultancy and business incubation with a focus on agribusiness and renewable energy.
REED is registered with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau under registration number G240704-2299.
REED was founded by a team of renewable energy experts with knowledge and experience spanning over 20 years of working and implementing renewable energy programs. The team members have undertaken several energy consultancies, provided incubation, prototyped, and acceleration support to enterprises, and organizations in this sector, as well as undertaken several energy studies on emerging technologies. We tailor our services to the specific entrepreneurs’ needs. Based on the needs identified during the assessments, we provide business training to all enterprises and technical training based on the entrepreneurs’ technologies.

We nurture start-ups, through offering incubation, and acceleration services. We also advise entrepreneurs to improve and focus their business ideas, through this, we manage their expectations

Technology Transfer
We guide entrepreneurs during product development, partnering with other institutions to test their products and guide them to improve their products based on the test results and recommendations.

Project Oversight: He/she shall monitor project implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Conduct regular evaluations to measure impact and effectiveness.
Market Systems Development
Market Analysis: We conduct market research and analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and emerging trends in renewable energy value chains and use this data to inform strategic decisions.
Business Development: He/she shall lead initiatives to develop new business models, partnerships, and revenue streams. Explore innovative financing mechanisms to support renewable energy projects
Advocacy & Policy Influence
Policy Advocacy: We advocate for favorable renewable energy policies at local, national, and international levels. Engage in policy dialogues, consultations, and forums to shape policy frameworks.
Thought Leadership: We position the organization as a thought leader in the renewable energy sector through publications, conferences, and media engagements to drive awareness and knowledge sharing.
